Troy Nesbit aka Franklin Folsom  (1907-1995)

American author. Pseudonym of Franklin Folsom. Folsom was a fairly prolific author, mainly of children's adventures and mysteries, but also quite a few non-fiction titles. Under the name of Troy Nesbit, he wrote two pony related books, one of which was a story about Fury of TV fame (more on this on the Albert. G. Miller page). He wrote under a number of other pseudonyms apart from the Troy Nesbit one, but I don't think any of them are pony stories. Apparently his wife also collaborated with him on many of his books.

Folsom was a Rhodes Scholar and graduated from the University of Colorado. As well as writing over 80 books, he also worked as a guide in the Rocky Mountains.

Collector's Info:
Both books are easy to find in America. Sand Dune Pony is a lot harder to get hold of elsewhere. The Fury title is however easier for non-Americans to get their hands on, especially in the UK where it was reprinted.
